he Goodyear Middle School building was built from 1917 to 1919 and opened in 1919 with elementary students. In 1921 the first freshman class was admitted.   It served both elementary and high school (East High School) students until 1931.

larger addition was built in 1952.   In 1955 a new East High School was built, and the stucture at 49 N. Martha Ave. became Goodyear Junior High School.

n 1983, with limited remodeling, Goodyear Middle School came into existence.   Since that time, an old auditorium was demolished to make way for a new gymnasium; and several industrial arts shops were converted to classrooms.
